shiina ringo. done with a #2 pencil and shaded with a 4b. photo reference used.
for all of shiina's devious fans.

i don't _ever_ do realism. i think i've done maybe two realism drawings in the last two or three years. i've attempted a few more (maybe three) but i've only finished two (one of which is now barbara's ^^). so excuse the imperfection. i know it's there. :P (Lick)

bleh pencil sketches = best. the bold colors used in this work very well, i think you should define the collarbone and breast outline a little more, but it looks great.

Shiina Ringo!!! Love her songs ^^
Tis a nice drawing ^^
My various gods, this just reminds me how bad I am with practicals. Give me a WACOM pad and name your program and I'll scribble out entertainment for the masses, but hand me a sleet of paper and a handfull of charcoal and I'll just wine until i get my computer back.

But it seems to be something inwhich you excell. I mean look at the ways you've captured those eyes. The subtle fold of the lid moving back slowly. The small inherent imperfections which pull the viewer towards them again and again wondering why and how.

The nose and lips and hair and clothing. The shadows and textures

You are nifty keen! Has anyone told you that today. If not, I pride myself on being the first... if not, damn! I shoulda look at this picture earlier.
